Your inbox, cleared in batches you approve.

Zero Inbox sorts your Gmail, unsubscribes you from lists you never read, and drafts the replies that need you. Nothing happens until you approve it, and anyone you’ve written to is never touched.

Google will ask permission for Zero Inbox to read and organize your mail. It moves mail to Trash at most — it can’t permanently delete anything.
